  • These classes are designed specifically for girls aged 11–16. This age group often brings new levels of independence, social pressure and personal growth, so our sessions focus on building confidence, awareness, assertiveness and practical self-defence skills in a supportive environment with others of a similar age.

  • Not at all. Our classes are designed to be beginner friendly, and many girls join with no martial arts or self-defence experience at all.

    We introduce skills step by step in a supportive environment, so students can learn at their own pace without feeling pressured to keep up. Whether your daughter is active and confident or completely new to this type of training, she’ll be welcomed and supported from day one.

  • No — sparring is not required.

    Our focus is on building confidence, awareness and practical self-defence skills in a safe and positive environment. Sessions include drills, partner exercises and realistic training activities, but there is no pressure to take part in sparring.

    The aim is helping girls feel more capable and confident — not creating fighters.

  • Absolutely — in fact, many of our students start that way.

    Our classes are designed to help girls gradually step outside their comfort zone, build confidence and feel more comfortable expressing themselves. We create a welcoming environment where students are encouraged and supported rather than put under pressure.

    For many girls, simply turning up to their first session is the hardest part — and often the biggest confidence win.

  • For their first class, just wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement, such as a T-shirt, leggings, tracksuit bottoms or sportswear.

    There’s no need to buy equipment before trying a session. Once they’ve had a chance to experience the class and decide it’s right for them, we can talk through any recommended kit.

    The goal for the first session is simple — come along, get involved and enjoy the experience.
